Dunnolly Estate Wines
In 1995, after nearly 20 years of living in Auckland having raised their family, Peter & Felicity Parish moved to the South Island where Peter spent his childhood. With the help from their son Matt, Peter and Felicity purchased a 25 Acre / 10 Hectare block of bare flat land at 157 Church Road, Waipara. The first 72 rows of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir vines were planted in November 1996.
The small land holding in the North Canterbury district, prominent for sheep grazing became their home and where DUNNOLLY ESTATE WINES was established. In the two decades that followed with their vineyard flourishing, Peter & Felicity took the next natural step and started their own wine label DUNNOLLY ESTATE WINES.
The first vintage in 2009, DUNNOLLY ESTATE WINES bottled 130 cases of Pinot Noir mostly made for family and friends. The Company is now in its 7th vintage producing premium Single Vineyard Estate Pinot Noir and Single Vineyard Estate Chardonnay.
In 2016 DUNNOLLY ESTATE WINES made Pinot Gris produced from fruit sourced in the Waipara Valley.
DUNNOLLY ESTATE WINES launched its Non-Estate label called 72 ROWS. These wines will be produced from selected fruit sourced from sites throughout New Zealand.
72 ROWS was developed to pay homage to the original 72 rows of Chardonnay & Pinot Noir initially planted in the Dunnolly Estate Vineyard.
