Our People

Peter Parish

Owner, tractor driver, pruner, financier and weekly golfer.

Peter grew up in Christchurch and after spending thirty years living and working in the North Island, it was time to come back to his home province of Canterbury.  Peter had spent most of his professional life in the wine and spirit trade and always wanted to pursue his passion for wine.

On purchasing this bare block of land back in 1995, Peter has become a very meticulous grower and has honed his viticultural skills in the last 20 years.  Peter has a very hands on role within the vineyard as well as in the Trade. His vineyard is always in pristine condition which is reflected in our stunning wines.

 Nicky Parish

Daughter, winemaker, brand ambassador and weekend artist

Nicky is the day to day winemaker for Dunnolly Estate Wines.  Nicky lives in Blenheim with her partner Hayden and their dog Flynn.  Nicky started her own consultancy company in 2016 after 10 years of working in Marlborough.

Nicky started her career in the wine industry pruning the vines at Dunnolly Estate during her winter holidays at University.  With her father and brother showing a keen interest in wine, Nicky also started to develop a fascination for the industry and redirected her focus to viticulture and oenology.  Upon graduating in 2000 Nicky travelled and gained work experience in the Hawkes Bay, Oregon, Canada and France before returning to Marlborough in 2006.

After working at several contract crush facilities Nicky decided to take a more hands on approach with Dunnolly Estate Wine where she currently works as a Consultant.
